My name is Stephanie Goodheart and I have been designing rooms for over 15 years. I used to love watching Trading Spaces on HGTV growing up and I would beg my parents to change the boring white walls to something else. At the corner house on Basel Pl, I got the inspiration to design my first room, my bedroom. I loved redesigning and rearranging my room. That is when I decided that I wanted to design for a living.

I got my Bachelors degree in Interior Design in 2008 at the Art Institute of CA - San Diego. During that time, the housing market was down and the need for an Interior Designer was hard to come by. I did freelance design jobs on the side as I worked the retail world. I started at Restoration Hardware where I helped customers put together the finishing touches on their home. Then worked as an in home designer at Laz-y-Boy where I got the hand on experience with high end and custom looks. I then started at Ashley Furniture which opened the door to the local market and clientele. And for the last 8 years, I have been a furniture and bedding specialist, in sales management, and an in home designer at Jerome's Furniture. All of these career advancements helped shape who I am and how I want to take care of my clients. Today I am the owner and Lead Designer of Basel Place Interiors.
About: About
My passion has always been in residential design as it gives me the flexibility and creative freedom to take your vision to the next level. I love earthy colors and bringing in natural elements to the design such as plants or wood. However, white should never be a blank canvas but an accent to the overall design. My favorite design style is between Farmhouse, Coastal, and Boho Chic and I like clean lines with subtle pops of color throughout.

However, my ultimate favorite part about designing spaces is the smile on my clients face when they witness their vision comes to life; when that feeling of home is overwhelming.
